Although all lavender is edible, you wouldn't want to eat just any lavender.
Different varieties of the plant can taste bitter and nasty. We grow selected varieties that result in a milder, more enjoyable flavor. Cleaned, screened and ready-to-use as whole buds or can be ground in a coffee/spice grinder for recipes where ground lavender is called for. Like most herbs, store it in your refridgerator to extend its freshness to about a year or so.
